Day 1: Flight to Venice.
Arrive at the airport ninety minutes before the scheduled take-off time of your flight to Venice. On arrival, arrange your transfer to your selected accommodation in Venice. Check-in and take the rest of the time free to start to get to know the city of the canals and the gondolas. Spend the night in Venice.
Day 2: Venice.
You have all day to take a look at Venice. The city is built in the middle of the lagoon on a number of islands and many of its streets are canals. The Piazza di San Marco, the Palazzo Ducale and the cathedral are some of the most outstanding monuments. Walk through, stroll in and enjoy every corner. Few places in the world invite you to lose yourself and make discoveries like Venice. Spend the night in Venice.
Day 3: Venice - Bologna.
You have this morning free to continue to view Venice. At midday, you have your train to Bologna. In just over one and a half hours, you will reach the Italian university city par excellence. Walking through the streets will take you back in time. Not only because of the palaces and churches that you will find but also thanks to the forty kilometres of arcades and the large towers that characterise the city. What is more, Bologna stands out for the varied cultural options such as the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna, one of the most important art galleries in Italy. Spend the night in Bologna.
Day 4: Bologna.
Continue discovering the city: the Piazza Maggiore, the nerve centre of the city; the Arena del Sole theatre; the Palazzo Poggi; the tower of Asinelli, from which there are some spectacular views if you are able to get up the 500 steps; the basilica of San Stefano and that of San Petronio, the fifth largest in the world; or the famous Porta Saragozza; among others. Spend the night in Bologna.
Day 5: Bologna - Verona.
In mid-morning, leave by train for Verona, one of Italy's most enchanting cities. The journey by train lasts approximately an hour. Its streets and squares are ideal to stroll in and discover such spectacular monuments as the Arena (the old Roman amphitheatre) or sights with the magic of the balcony that inspired the famous play "Romeo and Juliet". Spend the night in Verona.
Day 6: Verona and Lake Garda.
Today you can continue to take a look at Verona or alternatively escape on your own to enjoy nature and the open air in the area of Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, in the foothills of the Dolomites. There are charming villages with plenty of history such as Saló, Gardine, Limone and Sirmione, on a peninsula. Enjoy the unique views from Punta di San Vigilio or take the Monte Baldo cable car. And, of course, take a trip on the lake on board one of the numerous boats which sail on the great lake. Spend the night in Verona.
Day 7: Verona - Venice.
In the morning, you will take the train, which will take you to Venice in a little over one hour. And you should not miss such enchanting corners as the Rialto Bridge and the market of the same name or the lively Jewish quarter. You can take a vaporetto which will take you to some of the other islands in the lagoon such as Murano, famous for its glass production; Burano, with its colourful houses and Torcello. Spend the night in Venice.
Day 8: Return flight.
Enjoy your last hours in Venice; there must still be many places left to discover. Transfer from Venice to the airport under your own steam. Allow sufficient time to arrive and carry out the process of checking in your luggage and embarking for your return flight. Arrival and end of the trip.
