Day 1Flight to Belgium.
Check-in at your home airport 90 minutes before the scheduled departure of your flight to Flanders. On arrival take the train from the airport to Ghent (tickets included). Upon Arrival check-in at your Ghent hotel. Rest of the day free to start discovering the beautiful city of Ghent. In December the city atmosphere is really warm because of the Christmas markets, the skating rink, winter shows, etc. Night in Ghent .
You have a whole day to visit Bruges, one of the most charming and magical cities in Europe. Take a train for a short 25 minutes trip destination Bruges (tickets included). Known as the Venice of the North and crossed by channels Bruges has an old town that has not changed since the Middle Ages. In the city center you will find in December the Christmas market full of small shops where you can buy typical Christmas decorations or try a delicious Ghluwein (mulled wine). We also recommend visiting the festival of ice and snow sculptures. Be sure to visit also the "Lake of Love", the historical city Beguinage or climb the 366 steps of the Watchtower to enjoy magnificent views of the entire city. At the end of the afternoon, return by train to Ghent. Night in Ghent.
You have most of the day to keep visiting the historical and monumental center of the ancient city of Ghent. Specially the cathedral with its altarpiece by Van Dyck, the beautiful town houses in the old docks and the castle of the Counts of Flanders. The city Christmas market takes place from the xxth December to the xxrd January and includes a skating rink. There you can enjoy the beautiful historial buildings, while enjoying delicious regional specialties such as chocolates, cookies or the traditional mulled wine. In the afternoon, take a train to Brussels (tickets included) and transfer on your own to your hotel. Spend the evening strolling around the city Christmas market, one of the largest in Europe. Night in Brussels.
Breakfast and rest of the day to continue sightseeing Brussels. Visit Sainte-Catherine wheel and the Christmas market (open from November 25 until the January 1, 2017). You can not miss the Royal Quarter, the Art Nouveau route, the Tintin Museum, or the famous Atomium. Check-in at Brussels airport 90 minutes before departure of your flight to your home airport . Arrival and end of the trip.
